| 1 | Assyrtiko Jeunes Vignes, Thymiopolous 2023 | 12.5 |
Assyrtiko |
14.95 |
|
Following the incredible success of his xinomavro 'jeunes vignes' or 'young vines', Apostolos has done it again with this epic assyrtiko from newly-planted vines in the Naoussa region. With all the steely acid and citrus character you want from this noble variety, with added weight and pithy character giving an extra dimension. Though a red specialist, Apostolos cut his white-wine teeth on Santorini with the late, great Haridimos Hatzidakis where he oversaw the 2011 vintage, so he's certainly no stranger to top-end assyrtiko. Not that we needed any more proof that Apostolos is one of the world's greatest winemakers. |

Salto Mavrofilero Wild Yeast, Skouras 2023 |
11.5 | Bourboulenc | 16.00 |
|
Mavrofilero is an extremely rare and highly aromatic clone of moschofilero. In the hands of the young, talented Dimitris Skouras this is light, fresh and brimming with lime-leaf and fresh mint aromatics with a racy, elegant body and the ability to age exceptionally well. |

| 3 | Rosé de Xinomavro, Thymiopoulos 2023 | 12.5 |
Xinomavro |
13.95 |
|
A wholly individual and totally delicious xinomavro rosé, light salmon in colour, with flavours of dried cranberries, blood orange and wild strawberries with cedar spice. Three months in very large barrels brings creaminess without oak flavour. Made from Apostolos Thymiopoulos' young vines harvested in October. The vines are located at Trilofos and Fytia at the southern tip of Naoussa appellation at between 180-450m, where they are influenced by cooling winds that blow down from Mount Vermio in warm summers. The wine is given three months in oak barrels to give that creamy palate.

| 4 | G and L Rosé, Kintonis 2024 | 12.5 | Moschofilero | 9.50 |
|
Produced exclusively for us by Leonidas Nassiakos and George Kintonis, who make The Society's Greek White. This same blend of moschofilero and roditis adds a splash of agiorgitiko for colour and redcurrant and strawberry complexity. |

| 5 | Kotsifali, Karavitakis 2023 | 13.00 | Kotsifali | 23.00 |
|
Kotsifali is a red grape that is showing huge potential on Greece's largest island of Crete. With a relatively pale hue when at their best these wines truly show their Mediterranean character with a full, rich body, supple tannins and acidity, and loads of ripe red fruits and herbs. Nikos has been honing this wine for a number of years and he's nailed it. |

| 6 | Xinomavro Naoussa, Dalamára 2022 | 13.00 | Xinomavroo |
26.00 |
|
Kostis Dalamara is one of the most exciting young producers in Naoussa and his 2022 continues the firm form of this delicious xinomavro. A larger harvest in 2022 has allowed for softer tannins and a fresher, earlier-drinking style with aromas of tar and violets, cherries and redcurrants with a long finish. |
